The Ministry of Tourism issued Circular No. 7 to tourism establishments subject to the provisions of Decree No. 4221 dated 10/13/2000, which stated: “Based on the requirements of the public interest, and based on the provisions of Article 1 of Decree No. 12222 dated 3/11/1963, which prohibits the entry of persons of both sexes who have not yet reached the age of eighteen to nightclubs, discos, pubs (bars) and cabarets day and night, and based on the provisions of Articles (625) and (626) of the Penal Code, which prohibit the provision of alcoholic beverages to persons who have not reached the age of eighteen.” of age, whether in bars or in any tourist establishment or place open to the public. Therefore, all tourist establishments that provide food and beverages, regardless of their categories, are required to refrain from offering, selling, or delivering any spirits or alcoholic beverages to any person under eighteen years of age, under penalty of taking appropriate legal and administrative measures against the violating establishment, in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations. It is also prohibited to admit persons of both sexes who have not yet completed eighteen years of age into nightclubs, discos, pubs (bars) and cabarets, day or night. This circular is effective from the date of its issuance, and all concerned are required to fully adhere to its content. Any violation of the provisions of this circular exposes the perpetrator to prosecution and taking administrative measures stipulated in the applicable laws and regulations, including organizing arrest reports and proposing appropriate penalties when necessary.”
